Ack! Once again the time difference and Chinese studies have interfered with me getting this posted at a reasonable time. Sorry.
Last night we were trying to decide what to have for dinner. Do we order in (always a challenge here), go out, or do I make something. In the end, I made burritos. But, there are many food items that I just don't like to make and rather go out for. Pretty pastries or other complex desserts come to mind.
Granted, if we all had the money, we would probably prefer to go out most of the time or have our own cook, right? But, in general, what meals/food items do you prefer to have out?

A good burger is better at a restaurant (not fast food).
Tiramisu.
French Fries.
Fruit tarts.
Oooh, Syl's right - while HM burgers can be good, they're just never the same as a good ol' BURGER at a real restaurant.
My TexMex repertoire doesn't go much beyond tacos & simple things, so any Mexican dish beyond that is an "out to eat" for us.
And while I DO have an egg roll recipe that is delicious, yeah, it's WAY too much work!
Agreed on the burger. Good call. Of course, I can't find a good burger here. *sigh*
Thanks for the poll Ms. Huis. Was having trouble coming up with one this week. *double sigh*
Eggs Benedict and Tamales. Both are just a truck load of work... so Pusher does sometimes make the eggs benedict... cause that's how she rolls.
Diplowhat - no problem. Thanks for doing this month's stuff! It's always fun to read somebody else's WF & answer their questions. THANKS!!!
I don't do a lot of Asian food. I've tried pad thai, spicy glass noodle salads, stuff like that, and it's a lot of work and doesn't taste as good as restaurant versions. I'll probably feel the same about bibimbap if I ever get around to making that ... but the bowls are nifty.
Also, not really a "go out for it" thing, but candy. Mama B always used to make cream caramels, peanut brittle, anise candies, etc. If something requires a candy thermometer, count me out.
(I am, however, making eggs benedict tonight.)
I would say I order lettuce salads. They always have way more things on it then I have or want to try and get for a salad.
I just remembered the number one thing on my "I don't make that" list: croissants.
No way, no day.
