Are there any particular holiday foods or traditions relating to food to which you look forward every year? Do you always make a particular kind of cookie? Is Christmas the only time your grandma makes her special Potatoes Ala Gramma dish? Do you love stirring your hot cocoa with a candy cane?
What's a holiday food/food tradition that you love?

It's embarrassing how much I like corn flake wreaths with red-hot hollies. Does anyone even make those anymore? They're atrocious. But irresistible.
I don't really have a traditional favorite - I'm looking to create some traditions. Can anyone help me out?
Oh, and although I voted peppermint, I actually prefer peppermint AND mint together.
Tumbprints, which I just made today. Even when I want them during the summer, I can't bring myself to make them because they are a holiday tradition.
I should also make Wog the peanut butter bon bons, which he loves, but I have to wait for the powdered sugar I ordered to arrive, so that won't be for a while. Also - brown sugar here is $8/bag. CRAZY!
We love to bake many different types of cookies and candies. But popcorn balls, lefse (cream not potato), and slush are top on my list.
Forgot to say that my Grandmother alway made ostakaka and now no one makes it. I would love to have some again!! Grandma is now 93 years old and does not cook.
I tend to try to give consumable gifts since I don't see people enough to know what they need and tend to think we all have to much stuff (as americans)... and I like food. The thing I've done the past few years (and just did a batch of tonight) is dip apricots in 60% cocoa chocolate. They seem to go over quite well.
