Wednesday Fun #19 - Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate

Valentine's Day is on its way, and what better way to celebrate love... or soothe some loneliness... than chocolate?!?!? Here's what I want to know - what's your favorite form/kind/flavor of chocolate? Are you all about the dark chocolate no matter what? Love Twix bars, but only eat them by nibbling off the chocolate, then eating off the caramel, THEN crunching those cookies? (Um, not that it's my favorite way to eat them or anything...) Once had the most wonderful lavender chocolate truffle? Adore your mom's homemade chocolate caramels? Swoon over chocolate covered espresso beans?

So tell us,

What chocolate floats your boat?

some of my fav is exactly what Wog hates, which is pretty much par for the course. Milk chocolate, with raisins, and some kind of nut and/or toffee.

I've rarely met a chocolate I didn't like. Lately, I like it warm and melty. I used to be all milk chocolate, but the older I get, the more I like dark chocolate. '

And just a note, I've notice from the polls that we have one reader who doesn't like chocolate, and one who doesn't like bacon. I hope they are not the same person- because wow, that would suck.

I prefer milk chocolate with nuts. I like dark chocolate plain. And I love chocolate and mint. LOVE.

I, like AKJ, like chocolate as a whole class in general. But I have to say that I especially like good quality dark chocolate samplers 'cuz it's yummy AND a variety.

I really miss the _WONDERFUL_ hot chocolate we used to get at O'Connaill's Chocolate in downtown Cork - it was like drinking melted chocolate! SOOOOoooo rich we'd get one and share it, even though we both LOVED 'em. Yummmmmm! I also liked the "Moro" bars I got in Ireland - chocolate with caramel and some sort of cookie/crunchie thing. In fact, chocolate and caramel together do tend to be a fav for me.

Dark chocolate. B.T. McElrath's line of truffles before they switched to the fruit kinds (zinfandel balsamic, lavender black peppercorn, green tea...so yummy). Chocolate-dipped fruit. Unless it's part of a dessert, I like my chocolate in bite-sized portions. Maybe 2- or 3-bite portions, but not a whole candy bar. So mini Milky Way Midnights and Mounds bars, but not their full-size counterparts. I'm with Syl on the chocolate with mint thing.
