Alright, I was working on my weekly fun post, but got a little long-winded, so I just cut-pasted all that and moved it over to my poor, sadly-neglected Musings & Mutterings. I don't know what it's going to think of actual words, not pictures, but it'll manage. So if you want my preliminary thoughts & lead-in to the question,
look there! :)
The meat of the matter
(or the vegetable of it, more accurately), is...
Are you planting a garden this year?
If so, what's going in it?

We're trying the square foot garden. So far we have; Tomatoes, Leaf lettuce, Romaine, Broccoli, Bell Peppers, Jalepenos, Peas, Onions and Strawberries. I've got 3 squares left though, so may be adding more :)
My garden is tiny this year. So far all I've planted is tomatoes (only five! Ken is growing his own now that he's retired), snap peas, lemon verbena, and spinach vine. Still to go in the ground if I'm ever healthy again are beans, cucumbers, more peas, radishes, and basil. Oh, and carrots. Not so tiny, I guess, but it seems like a pitiful number of tomato plants.
I played with the idea this year, but I'm only planting a few things - asparagus in the side yard, a container of peppers (jalapeno, another hot pepper, and sweet banana peppers), and some mint, rosemary, and chives. Ooh, and blueberries in the side yard where MIL dug out the daylilies.
This weekend I planted the rest of Pusher's garden. Radishes, carrots, Purple beans, and Basil. Also I got the the new weeping pea shrub, dogwood, and arctic willow in the ground.
Also I did the recipe from Mastering The Art of French Cooking... they were very nummy Gratin Dauphinois.
