One of my resolutions this year was to work on cleaning and tidying up more and better. I'm taking small steps and trying to keep up what I've done. It's going ok - I'm washing the dishes after lunch instead of leaving the whole day's worth for the evening, closing the cupboard doors more, remembering (mostly) to have the girls clear their places when they're done eating, etc.
But you know, kitchen chores just aren't fun. Cooking and baking can be fun, I could see menu planning being potentially enjoyable, eating - well, that rocks... but kitchen chores? Not so much. In fact, there are some, like cleaning the drain out after doing the dishes, that I despise.
So how about you? What kitchen jobs/chores/tasks do you hate?

Cleaning the stove. Now that we have a gas range, I have to take off the grates, pop off the burner tops, and pull out the little pans and clean all of it, in addition to wiping off the actual stove surface. I'm sure what I have is better than what gas ranges used to be (I don't have to use tinfoil or lift the whole top up like the hood of a car to clean), but still the most time-consuming item in my kitchen.
I have 2 feet of counter space and in about 1/2 hour it is full of dishes because Wog doesnt stay on top of them like he's supposed to. Also, our dishwasher is very small, so many things won't fit and we have to hand wash more than we had to in the past.
Haaaate doing dishes. I suspect that a dishwasher in my house would end up as a structural component, though....
Dishes. I hate it more than just about anything. It is why we have a dishwasher. I actually learned to cook so I wouldn't have to do dishes (cooks didn't clean in my house).
I was very disappointed when that rule didn't work with A. Though it totally should have.
